Method & Muse Spirits offers a curated selection of barrel-aged rum and specialty aged spirits in Olde Town Arvada. While we focus on crafting gin and amari in-house, our barrel-aged spirits are thoughtfully sourced, selected, and bottled to complement our cocktail program and tasting room experience.
We personally select each barrel to ensure exceptional quality and character—spirits that shine on their own and in classics like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. These limited releases are available for in-person purchase at our Arvada distillery tasting room. Tasting notes and ABV details are updated with each new barrel selection.
Cask Strength Whiskeys
8 Year Barrel-Aged Rye,
Barrel #1 – 61% ABV
Our 8 year Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is bottled at barrel strength and packs a punch in terms of both flavor and ABV. This high rye whiskey has a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mash bill giving it a rich oak and spice profile that mellows into vanilla and raisin notes on the finish along with a welcoming rye burn. An absolute monster of flavor in Manhattan style cocktails. $60/750ml
8 Year Barrel-Aged Bourbon,
Barrel #1 – 55% ABV
Like our Rye Whiskey, we bottle our Bourbon at barrel strength. This bourbon is produced with a 74% corn, 21%rye, 5% malted barley mash bill. The rye adds the lightest bite to an otherwise absurdly smooth bourbon. The nose is rich in vanilla followed by a hint of spice and oak that mellows into a smooth buttery mouthfeel with lingering notes of vanilla and sweet corn. $50/750ml
Imported Blended Aged Rum
Blended Aged Rum – Armagnac Barrel Finished
45% ABV
Our rum is an imported blend of 6-8 year Caribbean rums that are then finished in Armagnac barrels. Delightfully smooth with a spike of molasses minerality and a smooth Armagnacesque finish. This complex rum is ideal for a rum old fashioned or for use in Tiki drinks. It also serves as the base for our Caribbean Amaro and can be added to it along with a dash of simple syrup to make a killer Spice Island Manhattan. $45/750ml
